Flagship Watchfaces

Noise 6R
My Role
During my internship at Noise, I worked on designing scalable smartwatch UI systems and flagship watchfaces across multiple device categories. The work focused on improving usability within extreme constraints like small screens, touch precision, and AMOLED optimization.
Smart Watch UI Design

Screen Consistency

Tap Target

Low Bit Depth Display
The System
Began by creating the icon, button and component library. After which I predefined the font and color library that was to be used throughout. Apart from this I had created a numerical typeface for their watch face.

The Flow

40px+ minimum tap target

Screen Consistency

≤2 steps to any feature
From glance to action in 2 or less steps. The goal was to enable users to reach any feature in the least number of steps while making every screen glanceable touch-friendly and consistent.

A Deep Dive
Instead of designing screens in isolation, the focus was on building a connected experience that feels fast, clear, and reliable to use. This section uses one feature to walk through that thinking, with annotations showcasing some screens the edge cases and status views.

Low Bit Rate Screens
The goal was to create a springboard, screens for various apps, settings menu among other screens. The containers and buttons were made to better utilise screen space keeping in mind the touch targets as well as the bezel space.

AMOLED Display Watches
This was created to have a higher array of colors for the more premium watches. While keeping the consistency of the UI was one of the major factors throughout the project, these watchfaces had better usage of gradients and colors.

Flagship Watchfaces
These were some watchfaces designed for various watch launches. Some of these iterations are now live on their newer watches.

Luna Ring Packaging
Created a motion video for the Luna ring that was to be used in the hero section of the Luna app interface.
